Take on the role of a lost being in the body of a tall blue creature and discover the remnants of civilization. There is no linear narrative; it is up to you to piece together who you are and what happened from the little evidence that remains. During your journey, you will encounter wandering creatures, uncover ancient stories, face temporal instability, and endure temporal storms.

Immersive manufacturing mechanics

Vintage Story aims to turn every crafting process into an immersive in-game experience. You create stone tools by breaking individual pieces of stone, form pottery by placing small pieces of clay, and craft sturdy tools by smelting molten metal or working hot ingots voxel by voxel on an anvil.

Geologically diverse

Each world you create is populated by a great deal of geological diversity. You'll find:

• Dozens of unique terrain shapes
• Variable rock layers that harbor specific minerals
• Areas rich, poor or completely devoid of certain minerals
• Large quartz veins that hold small amounts of silver, gold, and vugs - crevices where large crystals can form
• Rare crystallized versions of minerals
• Rare but huge salt domes that could be used as an effective food preservative

Inspired by Nature

Maintain your soil to grow healthy crops. Apply slow-release fertilizers and compost old food. Cook any of our thousands of meals and take care of your nutritional needs. Build a root cellar for long-term food preservation. Get involved in beekeeping, farming, and animal husbandry, but remember to protect your farm from local wildlife that are always eager for a free meal.
